Abierta la recepción de ponencias del VI Congreso Internacional de Envolventes Arquitectónicas

El VI Congreso Internacional de Envolventes Arquitectónicas, que se celebrará en San Sebastián los días 21 y 22 junio 2012, convoca a arquitectos, ingenieros y técnicos relacionados con la envolvente arquitectónica a presentar sus ponencias referentes a la temática del congreso: las fachadas ligeras.

El VI Congreso Internacional de Envolventes Arquitectónicas, organizado por Tecnalia Research & Innovation, ha convocado arquitectos, ingenieros y técnicos relacionados con la envolvente arquitectónica a presentar sus ponencias referentes a la temática del congreso. La temática principal sobre la que se va a desarrollar hace referencia a la innovación en el ámbito de las fachadas ligeras.

“La elección de esta tema como hilo conductor se realiza debido a que el mundo de la envolvente arquitectónica es, quizás, la parte del edificio en la que se han producido mayores avances en sistemas constructivos, materiales, etc. Esto es así debido al carácter de presentación del edificio que ejerce la fachada. Siendo además el único elemento de grandes dimensiones que es capaz de percibirse con facilidad en su totalidad y el que aporta la estética y la forma de relacionarse del edificio con su entorno”, afirma la organización del congreso.

Debido a la importancia de todos estos factores, muchos de los avances que se han producido en el sector han tenido como objetivo producir mejoras y responder a las inquietudes de arquitectos y propietarios. Se han incorporado materiales más ligeros y con mejores prestaciones térmicas, acústicas, estructurales, etc, se han planteado soluciones formalmente cada vez más complejas, se han incorporado nuevas tecnologías (leds, fotovoltaica, etc) y las fachadas han pasado de ser elementos con un comportamiento estático a ser capaces de reaccionar y variar su relación con el entorno. Todos estos avances tienen como base la investigación y el desarrollo realizados por cientos de empresas y centros de investigación en este ámbito. Leer el resto de esta entrada »

ECCS Congress & Annual Meeting 2011 – the European Steel Construction Day!

The European Steel Construction Day under the motto “Steel Construction – Global Challenges for 2050“, being organized by the the European Convention for Constructional Steel EKS / ECCS / CECM invites to you participate in the congress and annual meeting from September 21 – 23, 2011 in Potsdam, Germany.

European steel construction associations, supporting the events as a whole, have united to jointly tackle Europe-wide activities and to coordinate such efforts under the umbrella of the European ECCS / CECM / EKS). Workshop “Competitiveness of steel buildings in changing markets toward sustainability”, Budapest

The Workshop “Competitiveness of steel buildings in changing markets toward sustainability” will take place on the 1st of September 2011 in Budapest.

The organisers of this side event of the EuroSteel Conference are ECCS TC14 “Sustainability and Eco-efficiency of Steel Building” and the RFSC project “Sustainable Building Project in Steel, SB Steel”. Both these networks’ activities support the marketing efforts of the steel construction sector in sustainability issues that have become an essential part for the selection of the frame type and typical related solutions. The situation is clearly reflected also in websites of companies and associations in the sector.

The ECCS TC14 aims to promote the developments in industry, in research and teaching communities that lead toward increased understanding and capabilities in relation to sustainable steel construction.

Conference “Architecture in the Fourth Dimension”

Architecture in the Fourth Dimension: Methods and Practices for a Sustainable Building Stock will be held in Boston from Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011.

The conference is the 17th annual meeting of the CIB Commission on Open Building Implementation, as well as one of the forefront events in the world addressing the subject of Open Building. The annual conferences bring leading academics, practioners, and industry leaders from all over the world into a single forum.

This conference – embedded in Build Boston – will engage participants in considering architecture as a long-term investment imbued with the capacity for incremental change. We will focus on residential and healthcare architecture, and their potential intersection.

Building for the long haul is an urgent societal agenda and a vital part of the goal of a sustainable built environment. But preparing buildings to last while adapting to inevitable change is not easy. New methods, business practices, policies and attitudes are called for.

The conference will immerse participants in lectures, panel discussions, paper sessions, exhibits of student competition winners, exhibits of exemplary built projects, and hands-on charrettes hosted by local architecture firms. Members of academic communities (faculty and students) and professional communities (design, development, construction, business) are cordially welcomed.

EUROSTEEL 2011 Budapest

Tres Universidades Técnicas de las más prestigiosas de Hungría organizan la 6ª Conferencia Europea de Estructuras en ACERO y MIXTAS (“6th European Conference on Steel and Composite Structures”) desde el 31 de Agosto hasta el 2 de Septiembre de este año; continuando las conferencias previas de Atenas (1995), Praga (1999), Coimbra (2002), Maastricht (2005) y Graz (2008).

La Conferencia tendrá lugar en pleno centro de Budapest, en la Universidad de Tecnología y Económicas de Budapest y ofrece una plataforma de discusión sobre un amplio abanico de cuestiones relacionadas con la investigación, el diseño y la construcción.

V Congreso Nacional de Arquitectura en Fachadas Ligeras

La investigación y el desarrollo de nuevos tipos de materiales y procesos ha experimentado un auge excepcional en los últimos años. Por esta rzaón, se ha desarrollado el “V Congreso Nacional de Arquitectura en Fachadas Ligeras” organizado por el Centro Tecnológico de CIDEMCO-Tecnalia. Este congreso tiene lugar en el Palacio Miramar de San Sebastián, durante el 4 y 5 de Junio 2009.

Este V Congreso se perfila como una cita nacional ineludible para conocer las últimas tecnologías aplicadas a la Fachada Ligera. Todo ello en aras de ayudar a tecnificar el sector y adaptarse a las demandas del mercado y de un consumidor potencial cada vez más exigente.

Articulado en dos jornadas de trabajo, este Congreso de Fachadas Ligeras es uno de los congresos de referencia del sector del cerramiento arquitectónico y una clara apuesta por al innovación y las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la envolvente del edificio.
