This innovative programme offers a multi-disciplinary, practice-based approach towards Construction Manufacturing. This programme is specifically designed to address national, European and International Market needs for construction manufacturing.
Students will be able to better manage off-site construction projects through a broad understanding of issues relating to process efficiency, both on the manufacturing floor and on the construction site including:
- Construction processes off-site
- ICT in off-site construction
- Production technology in off-site construction
- Automation in off-site construction
- Management issues in off-site construction
- Design considerations for off-site construction
The programme is offered either by full-time or part-time attendance at the University of Salford (School of the Built Environment) or part-time by Internet distance learning utilising an Internet based virtual learning environment backed up by regular tutor contact and directed support. There is no requirement to attend the University if the part-time Internet study option is selected.
